Wybór serca, które mówi: “Pomogę, odciążę, będę." I właśnie dziś chcę się na chwilę zatrzymać i powiedzieć dziękuję. Dziękuję mojemu starszemu synowi - za jego cierpliwość, za pomoc, za to, że bierze na siebie więcej, niż powinien. Za to, że potrafi być oparciem dla mnie, kiedy ja opadam z sił. Za to, że jest dla swojego rodzeństwa nie tylko bratem, ale czasem też przewodnikiem, czasem opiekunem, czasem bohaterem. To ogromne, piękne i niedoceniane. I wiecie co? Takie dzieci - takie rodzeństwo - wśród nas. Są w waszyromach. Może to są właśnie Twój syn, Twoja córka, Twój brat, Twoja Twoja siostra? Może warto im dzisiaj powiedzieć: "Widzę Cię. Doceniam. Dziękuję." Bo oni często nie proszą o pochwały. Po prostu robią, co trzeba. Ale to nie znaczy, że nie zasługują na to, żeby być zauważeni. Dziękuję mojemu synowi z całego serca. Dziękuję wszystkim dzieciom, które uczą się być wsparciem. Jesteście wielcy. Naprawdę 🥹🫶🏻

Tomas and I switch off every couple days one of us with our big kids (who are still very little), one with Luca. They all need us in different ways and this has been the best rhythm we have found but it still doesn’t mean it’s easy. We’ve been doing this for about 5 months and still have 4 to go. We make the best of it and I love my fun times with our bigs and connecting with their little hearts and I love my one-on-one with Luca but my heart is always divided, it hurts. These last couple of days have felt longer and my heart has been missing Luca so much, we FaceTime all throughout the day and last night he cried every time Tomas took the phone, I could see how much he was missing me and it broke my heart. I was suppose to go to the hospital later today but I moved around my schedule to be able to come in the morning and surprise Luca. It’s summer so the bug are obviously home full time, with some camps sprinkled in there but Luca’s counts are starting to drop so we have to be careful with them visiting and his suppressed immune system, we take a break from visits until his counts come back up to protect him. I love his love for me, he’s so precious and pure, I couldn’t help but get emotional when I saw him. This is the hardest journey I have ever walked, time away from any of my kids is excruciating so when I’m reunited with them, my heart gets so overwhelmed.
