#ad This is my current favorite way to tandem bottle feed my newborn twins. They were born at 36 weeks and we have struggled with reflux. This is the only way I can confidently pace feed both of them at the same time, easily alternate burping often and keep them vertical for at least 20 minutes after. They aren't big enough yet for bouncers or other more vertical options so the @Twin Z Pillow has been a life saver! Twin mom skills 💪🏼 wait for the end though 🤪 for reference they just turned two months old and are about 9lbs each. I also did this when they were younger and smaller but would get more of my hand under their head/neck for support. They have better head control now and are a tad heavier so try center my hand more on the mid back now. When the girlies are impatient and ready to eat NOW this is how I feed them at the same time with no set up. I prefer to use the twin Z pillow on my lap but this set up still allows me to pace feed them, check in on their latch and keep them fairly upright to eat at the same time. We do little circles for mid feed burps then up on my shoulders for a big one at the end. Always finish it off with a good 20min snuggle sesh keeping them vertical and hopefully keeping as much of the feed down as possible! As I watched my three year old on the playground today at a local Easter event with my two newborns and all our stuff in tow I was reflecting on how overwhelming leaving the house as a FTM was. Just packing the bag and trying to coordinate it between feeds, diaper changes and nap time was enough to make me say nevermind. Three is hard. Twins is hard. Getting out of the house with 2 month old twins is hard but staying home all day with a 3 year old is harder 😅 I used to feel stressed or on a timeline when I took the littles out solo because I was anxious about how I could feed them both at the same time and felt guilty having them in the car seats or laying down to long. Have never been more overwhelmed and overstimulated in my life. Two newborns and a 3.5 year old is ALOT 😅😅 what was your hardest transition as a mom? My must have baby items to survive the first month with twins! Everyone's situation is different but for us everything preemie has been an essential. Honorable mention for @Dr. Brown's preemie flow bottles and I'd 100% recommend having some preemie size sleepers and diapers on hand just in case. We just now sized up to newborn at 1 month old. The @Baby K’tan wrap is currently my favorite soft carrier to use with the twins. It's the easiest to put on by far in my opinion! I had this carrier with my first daughter and used it all the time, especially when traveling, because it's quick and easy to put on yet also compact enough to pack in a carry on no problem. This is a size medium and with just one baby was a loser fit and we used it up until around 1 year.
