Bejeweled Venetian jester in progress

You know I enjoy a good linework appreciation post! And this 11x14in piece has so many tiny details that I wanted to show off. This friendly, yet unsettling jester is really going to come to life once I paint this piece. Stay tuned! Little backstory: my client once had a dream of a tall venetian jester covered in jewels and gemstones from head to toe, leading them down a long empty hallway into what ultimately ended up being a weird art exhibit. It has been so fun to take someone else's dream and try to bring it to life as close as possible! I love doing custom art pieces like this!
