Testing out Meghan Markle’s one pan pasta recipe. I tweaked it a bit for our taste preferences. She adds Swiss chard and Kale and I swapped out with Spinach. She boiled everything in one pan and chose to simmer the garlic and tomatoes in olive oil before adding water. Recipe. In a large skillet or pan add 3 tbsp of olive oil, 16 ounces of grape tomatoes, 4 tbsps of minced garlic and salt to taste. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes while occasionally stirring around. Next pour in one cup of water and stir the sauce to collect and clumps sticking to the pan. Then add one package of pasta and pour in about 3 cups of water. Cover with a lid and cook for 7-8 minutes. Uncover and mix pasta around so it doesn’t stick together and finish cooking for another 3-4 minutes. You may need to add more water if the sauce is too thick. Then turn off heat and mix in spinach and grated Parmesan. #meganmarkle #meghanmarklepasta #onepanpasta

Save and Share my recipe for Salisbury Steak with Cauliflower Mash. I wanted to make my husband a traditional American Dinner that’s quick and budget friendly. Here’s the recipe. Ingredients for the Salisbury Steak: 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef (90/10) 1 egg 3/4 cup bread crumbs 1/4 cup ketchup 3 tbsps of mustard 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder Mix everything together and form 5-6 beef patties. Ingredients for the Mushroom Gravy: 8oz of sliced mini portobello mushrooms 1 sliced onion 1 tbsp minced garlic 3 cups beef broth 3 tbsps butter 2 tbsps flour 1/2 tsp salt In a large pan add 3 tbsp of oil and cook beef patties 2 minutes on each side on medium heat. Remove beef patties and add 2 tbsps of butter, minced garlic, onions and mushrooms. Cook for 4-5 minutes then add 1 tbsp of butter and 2 tbsps of flour. Whisk in the flour and then add then add beef broth a cup at a time until reaching desired consistency. Season with salt and add back in the Salisbury Steak to simmer in the gravy for 4-5 minutes to finish cooking. For the cauliflower mash I cut up one head of cauliflower, boiled for 10 minutes, drained, tossed back in pot to cook on low heat for another 5 minutes to dry it out, then blend in the food processor with 2 tbsp of butter and 2 tbsps of cream cheese. Here’s my recipe Pistachio Cream 16 ounces of shelled pistachios 3/4 cup of milk 4 ounces white chocolate 3/4 cup powdered sugar 2 tbsps butter Instructions Boil pistachios for 5 minutes, drain and place on a kitchen towel. Rub towel over pistachios to loosen outer skin and peel off. Place pistachios in a food processor with 1/4 cup of milk and blend until a thick paste. You might have to stop and start a few times to scrap the sides down. In a small saucepan melt butter and add 1/2 cup of milk. Simmer on low heat and add melt white chocolate. Pour over into food processor and blend with powdered sugar until smooth. Refrigerate for storing. #dubaichocolate #pistachiocream #recipes

Martha Stewart’s One Pan Pasta Recipe with a little tweak to make it taste better. Instead of putting all the ingredients in one pan and boiling, I cooked everything first and then pasta and water to finish cooking. Start by cooking one pound of grape tomatoes in 3 tbsps of olive oil. Season with salt with your taste preference. Cook until tomatoes soften and then add 2 tablespoons minced garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes and then add half a sliced onion. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, then add dried linguine pasta and pour in 3 cups of water. Cover with a lid and simmer for 6-7 minutes on low. Remove lid and mix pasta to separate the noodles. You may have to add another 3/4 cups of water if noodles are still not cooked enough. Add a handful of chopped basil and continue cooking uncovered for 2-3 minutes. Turn off heat and top with grated Parmesan cheese. #meganmarkle #meghanmarklepasta #onepanpasta

If you’re looking to add more protein to your meals try this ground beef sweet potato bowl. The recipe is really simple. Peel and cube 2 large sweet potatoes and place in a large bowl. Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of olive oil and add 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix and then place on a baking sheet. Bake at 375F for 45 minutes. In a medium skillet pan add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and one pound of ground beef. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Cook in medium heat until beef gets slightly crispy. With a paper towel soak out any excess oil and fat. To serve add to a bowl a layer of sweet potatoes, then ground beef, cottage cheese, avocado, hot sauce and honey. Make Potato Salad this Easter with all your eggs. When I make my potato salad I separate the yolk from the eggs and mash it up with mayo, mustard, paprika, salt and pepper. I then add the chopped up white part of the egg, celery, red onions, black olives and boiled cubed potatoes. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Here’s my easy go to recipe for Corned Beef and Cabbage. 1 package of brined Corned Beef. I prefer the flat cut because it’s great for leftover sandwiches. Rinse and pat dry with a paper towel. Lay a bed of onions in a Dutch oven or large pot, place the corn beef on top of the onions, squeeze a generous amount of mustard on top, sprinkle the seasoning packet that comes with the package, add some garlic powder, paprika and pepper. Pour in enough water to reach almost the top of the corn beef, but not submerging it. You want to keep mustard seasoning top above water. Then add some beef bullion. Some people also like to add Guinness. Cover with a lid and simmer on low for 3 hours. Then remove the corn beef and add cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Cover with a lid and simmer for another 20 minutes. #cornbeefandcabbage
