This is a great card game to add to your mental catalog of easy card games! 7️⃣ how to play Sevens (sometimes called Fan Tan) Players: 2-8 🎯Objective: Be the first player to play all your cards by building sequences from the 7s. ⚙️Set Up: Use a standard 52 card deck, set aside jokers. Deal all the cards out to the players (some players may have one more card than others — this is okay!) 🃏 How to Play: 7️⃣ Begin with a 7. Begin with the player to the left of the dealer, they can play any 7 card from their hand if able. If not, the next player to the left may and so on until a player can play a 7. Or to begin you can choose a 7 to begin the game (7♥️ for example) and the player with that card in their hand places it in the center to start; play then continues clockwise from this player. Either way is great! ▶️ Play Cards: Players take turns in clockwise order. On your turn you can: Play a 7 card to begin a new row for that suit. or Play a card that is one rank higher or lower than an existing card of the same suit. (e.g. if the 7 ♠️ is down, you can play the 6♠️ or 8 ♠️ to the left or right respectively.) ⏭️Pass if Stuck. If you can't play, you must pass your turn. 🏆Winning: The first player to get rid of all their cards wins! 🔄 Turning the Corner Variant: This adds a twist by allowing sequences to wrap, or "Turn the Corner" Normally, you can only play cards one rank higher or lower than an existing sequence. In this variant, Aces connect to Kings, meaning: If an Ace is played, rather than ending the sequence, you may play a King card of the same suit beside it, wrapping the sequence. If a King card is played, you can play an Ace card of the same suit beside it, wrapping the sequence. This variant make the game more dynamic and gives players more opportunities to play their lower and higher rank cards!
